I grew up on Vancouver Island, but I've spent most of my adult life between school in Vancouver and living in East Asia with my partner. We're in our late twenties, with very little money, and dreaming of settling down on one of the remoter gulf islands.
Our question is: Is it still possible to buy a small, wooded, somewhat secluded lot for $50 - 100k or less? We're translators and able to live away from things. Any information would be much appreciated.
